Interviews: Lonehead

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Lonehead from the UK. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The name comes from 'Dennyloanhead' an old song of ours about aliens in Scotland.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Our sound is what happens when we perform together. It's a mix of our influences and playing styles and isn't too contrived.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, singer Martin and guitarist Jim met through a mutual manager and worked on various projects. Jim met Mark our drummer at a local jam.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Singer Martin - Elvis Costello.

Guitarist Jim - Cream/ Clapton.

Drummer Mark - Van Halen

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Usually other great songs!

6. Where was your last gig?

McChuills in Glasgow. It's a great venue

7. Where would you like to act?

We'd love to play at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Biffy Clyro

9. Whom not?

Lewis Capaldi

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really. We usually imagine the worst that could happen and ask if we could cope with that...the answer is always yes!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The Beatles, The Who, Crosby Stills Nash

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Sweaty gig shirt. ..why?
