Interviews: Stellar Knights

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock band Stellar Knights from the UK. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

So, initially, we played around with "Stella and the Knights" for Stella's solo thing. But once Duncan hopped on board, we felt something spacey would be rad. So, a bit of word juggling and voila!

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Our sound is a cocktail of rock, metal, goth. And we have a soft spot for the prog metal groove. It's all these sounds mashed together that make our tunes click with so many people.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Oh, for sure! We went from friends to wife and husband and now jamming together in a band.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Picking a top fave? Man, that's tough! Loads of bands have shaped our sound, but we're on a mission to do our own thing.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Think of our tracks as short stories. Like "Pisces" is our shoutout to Kurt Cobain and the void left by artists who left us too soon. "Away From Here" is about a journey, which might echo our story of leaving our country for the UK. But really, it's a tune for everyone about ditching the bad stuff and vibing with the good. And hey, there's a song coming up inspired by Stephen King. But let's keep that hush-hush, yeah?

6. Where was your last gig?

Can't spill about the last one, but heads up, we're playing next at Cart and Horses in London. Fun fact: it's where Iron Maiden started out. We're pumped to kick off Hekz’s album launch on November 5th.

7. Where would you like to act?

Festivals, hands down. We would love to play a festival, one day!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Got a few names on our wishlist. But let's zip it for now.

9. Whom not?

Any artist spreading hate or violence

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Oh man, all the time! Quick tip: Ditch the coffee and energy shots on gig day.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We've had some... interesting moments. But weird? Nah, our fans are cool like that.

12. What do you think of our site?

"Breathing the Core Zine" is an incredible platform for artists. We genuinely appreciate its commitment to spotlighting emerging bands and its in-depth coverage of the rock and metal scene.

13. Something to add?

We're truly grateful for all the support we've received from our fans and platforms like "Breathing the Core Zine". It's communities like this that keep the spirit of rock and metal alive. Stay tuned for our upcoming releases; we have some exciting projects on the horizon! Always keep the music playing!
