Interviews: Demon Seizure

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Groove Metal/Stoner Metal band Demon Seizure from Sweden. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or came out just like that?

The band name is a reference to exorcism as well as religious fanatism but could be interpreted in many various ways, also pointing towards old historical witch trials, diseases, and plagues.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The initial idea was to play stoner metal, simply because we are all fans of this genre. But we quickly found out that well-articulated death metal growls fits awesome with stoner riffs. After that, it felt natural to spice it all up with some black and death metal guitar riffing here and there.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, most of us. Dating back to 15-20 years in time. We also play Neo crust punk together in Passiv Dödshjälp.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Andreas: Whores

Lars: Blood Red Throne

Linus: Tragedy

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The title of the album is Murder Tales because all songs are about murder. The inspiration mostly comes from horror movies.

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven't played live yet, since this is a pretty new band.

7. Where would you like to act?

Some sort of horror convention would have been awesome.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Duncan Wilkins from Fukpig and Make Them Die Slowly.

9. Whom not?

Madonna.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Take a deep breath and look above the audience. Also, drink a lot of beer.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Entombed, Black Sabbath, Alcest, Electric Wizard.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Can't think of anything.

We love them!
