Interviews: Enemy Of Fate
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Rock artist Enemy Of Fate from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the artist on her FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?
Enemy Of Fate derives from the passing of time being our own worst enemy. We wait to chase our dreams, and some believe as they age, it's "too late" to aspire to do big things or become what they were meant to be (or dreamed to be as child). In essence, time is our fate's worst enemy. Hence, Enemy of Fate - is also why you'll see pretty wilted flowers among an old pocketwatch in our band logo.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
I love the raw emotion that stems from Alternative Rock and New Metal. I believe the nature of my writings lean in on an alternative style as well and of course, because I'm a huge fan of Alternative through the decades, I naturally gravitate to this genre, but expect that you'll see some different flavors in our future tracks!
3. Your favourite band?
Naming just one band as a favorite would be an impossibility for me. I have quite an eclectic mix of music I love, from motown, to 80s classic rock, to 90s grunge, all decades of alternative, pop and R&B.
4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
I write from personal experiences in life. I believe the true testament to "good music" are most often the stories that unfold in an unfiltered song, where the writers/composers create from raw emotion and reflection. Life's journey is my inspiration.
5. Where was your last gig?
We will play our first gig in February, 2024!
6. Where would you like to act?
We look forward to touring the world! In our local music scene in Sacramento, CA we would love to perform at Goldfield's in Roseville.
7. Whom would you like to feature with?
Disturbed, In This Moment, Bad Omens and Lady Gaga
8. Whom not?
I'm a fan of all genres and there isn't anyone I wouldn't be willing to collaborate with.
9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
As a performer, yes, getting a bout of seld-doubt before stepping on stage is horrfying, but you have to remember why you're there and how much you believe what your performing, pushing through that fear is the most rewwarding feeling in the world!
10. What bands have inspired you the most?
For our first EP, you'll get a lot of Evanescence and Spirit Box. Their styles are unique and I dig that.
11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
A locket of my hair!
12. What do you think of your fans?
I love my fans! We wouldn't be who we are without them!
13. What do you think of our site?
Such a resourceful tool!
14. Something you'd like to add?
