Interviews: Fugit
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Post-Black Metal project Fugit from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the project on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
Fugit comes from the Latin phrase “tempus fugit” which means “time flies”. Fugit alone can be interpreted as “escape”. Both of these statements represent very well my feelings towards life. Don’t know why I choose Latin above all languages… I guess I thought it made you look cool.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
I do not decide in advance what genre I’m going to play, it just happened. In fact, in the discography of Fugit there are many songs of different genres. I just go with the flow.
3. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Basically everything. From personal feelings to nature. The universe is pretty big so there are a lot of things to talk about.
4. Where was your last gig?
Being a one-man band, I never played in a live show with Fugit. But I did play live shows with previous bands like Ishyara for example. The last live show with them was probably more than 10 years ago.
5. Where would you like to act?
I doubt I will ever manage to recruit people to make a live show with Fugit. But I guess I would like to play on the streets for free.
6. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
Yes, I have. But I don’t have any tips, I stopped playing live.
7. What bands have inspired you the most?
Too many to mention. Metal is just a small part of all the music I listen to.
8. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Until now, all my fans have been very polite.
9. What do you think of your fans?
I am really interested in what my fans think of my music. Keep in mind that I’m just a nobody making music alone in my house, it’s my hobby. So the fact that I have fans in the first place fills me with joy. I would like to thank them one by one.
10. What do you think of our site?
Your site is amazing. I actually discovered many bands thanks to you guys.
11. Something to add?
Just a thank you.
