Interviews: Towards Eden

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore solo artist Towards Eden from Italy. Check out the interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?

The name of the band comes from my reinterpretation of the biblical Eden, which we also know as "heaven on earth”. I have seen many times that people take life on earth for granted and aspire to go to heaven; Precisely for this reason, I decided to recreate my own Eden here on this earth and live in the now.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Often when people ask me about choosing this genre, I simply reply that it is the escape route through which I can find myself. And as if that wasn't enough, it also introduced me to people I love very much. I started to listen to Metal/Metalcore when I was only 13 and it was love at first sight, that’s why I’ve always felt like I had to start a Metal band

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Well, at the moment Towards Eden is Emanuele Della Rossa: the permanent member, founder, and Vocalist. For my first two singles, however, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with talented artists (and friends) such as Graziano Ciccarelli (Drummer of Jumpscare) Andrea Di Martino (Guitarist of Jumpscare) Sal Ciccarelli (Bassist of Jumpscare) and Louis Littlebrain Cervellini (From R.O.T) who produced my latest single called I’M SORRY.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

While She Sleeps! Got no words to describe them, one of the best bands in the scence!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I am often inspired by things that happen around me, although for the last song, I was mostly inspired by personal experiences.

6. Where was your last gig?

I haven’t had the chance yet to play at gigs, and I hope there will be chances in the future.

7. Where would you like to act?

I’d like to tour all over the world, I’d do two things I love at the same time: Travel, and play music for people

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

That would be amazing to feature Loz from While She Sleeps, Matty Mullins from Memphis May Fire, or Kirion from Jumpscare!

9. Whom not?

Hard question! I’d say George Corpsegrinder…a lovely person for sure, but I’m a little scared of his neck😂😂

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

At the moment, as I said before, I’m the only permanent member of the band. I experienced a little fright during the studio session firstly when I started the project but it was a matter of a few minutes!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

While She Sleeps, Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel, and many more! I can say they’re the reason why I started to like doing harsh vocals!

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

“Since Towards Eden is a “newborn” project, contacts between the band and the fans have yet to be established at all. I hope there will be opportunities, in the future, to hear strange requests from fans!😂

13. What do you think of your fans?

Fortunately, I had the pleasure of receiving only positive feedback from kind people, I hope for a fan base like this!

It’s like a place where you can feel at home! You give space to emerging bands and it's always nice to see you guys give support!
