Interviews: Fallen Choir
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Symphonic Black Metal artist Fallen Choir from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
I guess it came from always hearing, "You're preaching to the choir." Especially when talking to fellow
citizens about the shit our government does that we don't agree with. Fallen, I suppose represents my
loss of faith in humanity due to this spineless choir everyone seems to sing in.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
It wasn't until the age of 14 that I got serious about learning guitar. It was also around this time that I was
introduced to extreme metal. Bands like Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, and Behemoth. I had never heard metal
bands using orchestral sounds until then. It was the first time metal gave me an eerie and sinister feeling,
that which you would expect from the soundtrack of a horror film. I was hooked and knew I had to be a
part of this.
3. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
They really just come from things on this planet that I find repulsive. I guess you could say I'm inspired by
the humans that truly piss me off.
4. Where would you like to act?
Anywhere really but would be very excited to tour Europe. I feel that the genre is more accepted there
than here in the States.
5. Whom would you like to feature with?
Of course, I would like to share a stage with the legends of metal. But I would tour with any bands that
share the same views and sound.
6. What do you think of your fans?
Fallen Choir exists because of its fans and will continue to grow from their support. I will never forget that
fans established Fallen Choir and it's them who I serve.
7. What do you think of our site?
I think it's very well organized compared to most. I truly appreciate what you do for independent artists
like myself and for metal music in general.
8. Something to add?
Thank you to all who support Fallen Choir. I look forward to performing for you all.
