Interviews: Secreted

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal/Brutal Death Metal/Slam band Secreted from the UK/USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

Honestly, I was listening to Guttural Secrete and thought Secreted would be a cool band name, I love one-word band names, so I did a little look and no one else was using that for a band name so I messaged my bandmate, Rich, about naming our project that.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I am a huge fan of brutal death metal and slam, as I know my bandmate is too 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We did we talked on Facebook a bit but after we formed the band and made music together we became closer friends.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Luke: honestly that’s tough I enjoy lots of bands, Syphilic has to be up there for me but I have to throw out some honorable mentions to the good friends in Coprocephalic Mutation, Putrified J, Human Barbecue, and .357 Homicide!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We both love brutal death metal and slam! Bands such as Devourment, Kraanium, Vomit Remnants, and Waking the Cadaver inspire us!

6. Where was your last gig?

We haven’t actually played a live show as we both live in different countries but we’d love to perform live one day!

7. Where would you like to act?

I’d love to perform in Pennsylvania, where my bandmate is from, which I hope one day to make possible!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Would love to share a stage with so many bands, but here are just a few: Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Guttural Slug, Coprocephalic Mutation, .357 Homicide, Putrified J, Kraanium. The list could honestly go on!

9. Whom not?

Honestly, that’s a really tough question, I suppose bands that may be way too different genre-wise, I couldn’t see us sharing a stage with a pop artist for example

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I actually haven’t ever performed live but Rich, my bandmate, has played multiple shows and has said this, A strong drink and remember your practice!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Luke: Syphilic, Delusional Parasotisis, Guttural Secrete, inherit Disease, the list goes on!

Rich: Devourment, Slipknot, Waking the Cadaver, Dislimb and Omnipotent Hysteria

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We’ve not had any requests really, but it still blows my mind people want us to press our debut ep on cd again

13. What do you think of your fans?

We really appreciate our fans and the support they give us!

14. What do you think of our site?

Great site! Would easily recommend it, as a great place to find new bands!
