Interviews: YUUGE

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metal band YUUGEE from the USA and Cyprus. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

A cab driver actually said the band is going to be, "absolutely YUUGE." It seemed set in stone right there in the moment.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I'm not exactly sure what genre we're in, but metal-oriented music with highly complex song structures is where all of the band finds common ground and tons of organic excitement.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We still don't know each other. Check out the article about how we've never met! 

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Ryan - TOOL.

Evan - Sleep Token.

Ross - Yanni.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Everything - moments, TV/Movie scores, nature, noodling around and mistakenly stumbling into interesting riffs.

6. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere

9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

For sure - the key is to be so well rehearsed that motor memory does the vast majority of the job.

Tool, Led Zeppelin, Periphery, Jethro Tull, Meshuggah, A Perfect Circle, Karnivool,

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A threesome with her sister

The greatest people the world has ever known! Such incredible people out there!
