Interviews About Albums: Cosmic Ninja - Filth (2024)
In this new interview, we sat down with the UK Alternative Rock band Cosmic Ninja to ask questions about their album "Filth".
1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?
6 electronic-infused rock bangers blended with a punk ethos, our latest EP was recorded with John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, Architects, ...) at Outhouse Studios in Reading. Expect big riffs paired with thick synth and electronica, topped off with a generous helping of dueling vocals, angsty raps, and big euphoric chorus melodies.
2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?
The EP is titled 'Filth' meaning the exploitation of humanity for profit by governing powers
3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?
All band members contributed to the writing
4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?
Stone Cold
5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?
The tracks deal with frustration at the political status quo, the toxicity of blind partisanship, injustice, and the drive for equality, the disillusion that is rampant in the modern UK and beyond. Striving for social justice is a common theme throughout, as is the struggle with mental health and well-being, imposter syndrome, and inadequacy in the increasingly stressful and high-pressure world that we find ourselves in.
6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?
Sure here you go 'They bear falsehoods and show themselves to seize the power, We wear price tags and sell ourselves hour by hour'
7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?
Enter Shikari, Wargasm, Don Broco, Linkin Park, Pvris, Bring Me The Horizon, Nova Twins, Prodigy, Awolnation, and Pendulum. We'd love to thank everyone who has supported us so far in our musical journey, especially our loved ones!
8. Something to add?
Give it a listen, it's different, so give your ears time :) https://tr.ee/jMGxurJWb9
