Interviews: Announce The Apocalypse

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Thrash Metal/Progressive Death Metal band Announce The Apocalypse from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The band name was thought of in my teens and it came about as a result of the apocalyptic themes I wanted to explore.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I was heavily influenced by 80s thrash bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Kreator, and Megadeth.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The band was formed in Detroit and the new lineup in Tampa formed in 2022.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

I don't think any of us have a favorite per se but if I had to choose one then it would be Metallica.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life inspires me the most to write.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played last Saturday at the Pegasus Lounge in Tampa.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to play overseas in the major metal festivals.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It's always been a dream to open for Gojira, At the Gates--bands that align with our sound.

9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I don't think any of us have stage fright. Confidence through experience is my best advice.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Definitely the big four of thrash, Swedish melodic death metal, 90s death metal, and progressive rock.

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Not sure...

They're amazing and we truly appreciate them!
