Interviews: Pay The Price

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hardcore band, Pay The Price, from Spain and Colombia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their INSTAGRAM PROFILE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

Our first idea was Pay Your Mistakes, paying tribute to the agnostic front's Your Mistake song, but at last, we changed it to "PAY THE PRICE". We think that all of us just paid a price to be here, to be part of a hardcore scene, loyal, and true

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Oh well! For us is more than music, is our way of life. Is amazing how this music can unite kids and girls over the world. The old school and new generation warriors. So the reason is obvious

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We are friends from 20 years ago more or less. We have the same musical ideas, hardcore 4 hardcore.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Classic bands like Agnostic Front, cro-mags, Madball, warzone, youth of today, judge, Hatebreed, blood for blood, floor punch, cold as Life... And we can't ignore the new wave of hardcore like pain of truth, conservative military image, mind force, sunami, speed...

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We think that hardcore music comes from the streets and it is what inspires to us to write our songs. You can write also to our friends, the traitors, to strength... We respect the bands that write about animals, to try to save the world, sxe, but we represent the underground hardcore, a fight at the exit of the club, to keep the flame alive, do you know?

6. Where was your last gig?

For the moment we ain't going to do live shows. Our lead guitar lives in Barranquilla (Colombia) and the rest of the band is in Bilbao, we are working hard to unite the band and start doing shows, Apart from this nowadays days We're ending up mixing our first LP.

7. Where would you like to act?

In every place where hardcore community brings us an opportunity to act. Is the same if the place is big or small, full or empty. We play music to enjoy ourselves

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

For the moment we have had the chance to work with knuckledust in our last song called Airmax, pelbu is a fucking legend! Is a pit boss!

9. Whom not?

Ah ah ah ah we dont like to start beef, so gonna be better if we shut up! It's a joke!! We haven't any problems with no one

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

The best way is to drink two or three beers before starting the show.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Obviously the classic bands of the NYHC, Boston, and Detroit's cult bands. We don't want to forget the first wave of English oi! Bands.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

As we have told you before, we have not started giving concerts, so until now, we do not have that type of issue.

13. What do you think of your fans?

In our scene gonna exist fans. We are a big community so is very important to support beginner bands like us. Going to the shows, spreading our message, buying our stuff.

14. What do you think of our site?

The job that you are doing is amazing because you bring an opportunity for a band like us to put our name on the map, we love this style of life and we are here to stay! so thanks a lot!
