Interviews: Sinsation

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Vampiric Metal band Sinsation from the USA. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?

Thank you so much for having us back! You guys are badass! Sinsation represents the dark side of becoming a sensation in the entertainment industry. It can take the soul out of a person and take them down paths of darkness and self-destruction. Far from the glamour and glitz of Hollywood are the lost souls chewed up by the big city. In fact, two members went through that very thing and live to tell the tale by the skin of their fangs. It’s also a tale of redemption. Now the clubs and streets of Hollywood are our playground. The Vampires of Sinsation endure.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It is in our blood. We have been playing and listening to metal since we were kids. The question is how could we not play this genre? You know?

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Billy, Sado, and Sammy have known each other since our teen years shredding in local bands and terrorizing the town of Santa Barbara. We fed off each other's talent and success to improve our chops. We met Mike later on in the community and Stacy from the local scene.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Stacy: Korn

Sammy: Killswitch Engage.

Mike: Primus. Sado-Slayer.

Billy: Mastodon.

Also our labelmates on Sodeh Records https://www.sodeh.ca

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

All the crazy shit in the world and the history of the world. Also, everything we see in California, the ocean is a huge inspiration. We surf, dive, and paddleboard and that inspires us. All the shows we go to and play. All the incredible musicians we see all the time. And also the badass bands online. Here is a video inspired by all this…Horns Up Fangs Out

6. Where was your last gig?

A place called Dark Nectar Coffee in Atascadero California. That place kicks ass! We played with our labelmate's Suppressed Intentions. Check them out, they are sick! Also our friends Hexenghul. There is a killer scene in A-Town.

7. Where would you like to perform?

Red Rocks in Colorado. Santa Barbara Bowl. Forum LA. But we will settle for a return to The Whisky A Go Go and The Viper Room in Hollywood. Those are some of our favorite venues for sure.

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

Our Sodeh Records labelmates Die Tired. Suppressed Intentions, I, The Rift, Suckertrap, Votchi. Also, our friends Living Darkness, Fused By Defiance, Firing All Cylinders. All incredible bands that will probably blow up very soon.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Our drummer Billy has toured the most out of every band member has stage fright, but hides it very well. His message is mainly to keep at it. It gets easier and you are able to “act’ almost like an actor going on stage.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

Sodeh Records label mates. Sorry to be redundant, but it’s so true. Also bands like Burning Witches, Nervosa, Jinger, and Lamb of God. Jane's Addiction,

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

It’s not weird, but two superfans have had tattoos of Sinsation done and it is so flattering, we can barely handle it.

12. What do you think of your fans?

They are the absolute best in the world! Seriously! We absolutely love and respect our fans from all over the world. Thank you from the bottom of our black, vampire hearts.

13. What do you think of our site?

It’s super legit. Lots of incredible bands and content. A plethora of rock and metal greatness.

14. Something to add?

Thank you so much for having us. Thank you to Sodeh Records, all our sponsors, and most of all our fans… We love you.
