Behind The Artworks: Blasfeme - Black Legion (2024)

The artwork was masterfully drawn by Maciej Kamuda. It is the crest for The Black Army of Hungary (1458-1494), altered for our purposes - spot the differences! - the background has burning buildings and heads on stakes to add depth and story. Striga enjoys the process of conceiving album covers, then we kick around ideas to make it fit with the songs and their lyrical content, then allow the artist to exercise their creative muscle, providing they understand the concept, which Maciej did with ease, giving us a variety of options and making alterations efficiently, a pleasure to work with.

 

It is also worth noting that our logo was created by the genius Christophe Szpajdel. Our eternal thanks to both for helping to create an album cover we are exceptionally proud of.
