Behind The Artworks: Devine Defilement - Age Of Atrocities (2024)

To begin, I(Freyr) experimented with various artistic styles for the album. However, after exploring numerous artwork options, I ultimately decided on the captivating image of Lucy. The inspiration for this concept emerged during a collaborative brainstorming session with Stebbi. Our shared vision was to symbolically depict the fragility and vulnerability of innocence. How something so beautiful could be corrupted by violence, alcohol And drugs. There was something about her sad, sinister grin that just caught our attention. The title of the album, "Age Of Atrocities," does not directly correlate to the album cover's imagery. However, the inspiration for the title was derived from a song on the album titled "Malformed Grin," which accurately conveys the intended message. In conclusion, after finalizing the selection of Lucy's image, the remaining tasks were relatively straightforward. We applied necessary color corrections and incorporated the album title and band logo, completing the design process.
