Behind The Tracks: MisophoniA - Trial And Error (Single) (2024)

Trial & Error was originally written way back in 2020 when COVID was peaking, and MisophoniA was fading. It was written by our lead guitarist Neil Dunnachie, but for its original 2021 New Beginnings demo edit we had to use a session drummer as we were drummerless and 2nd guitarist-less (well Jay our vocalist played some guitar on the demo recording but as far as an actual 2nd guitarist goes we never had one at that point)

The 1st rendition had a terrible terrible clean vocal approach and was overall a weak and tired-sounding edit. What followed was a remix titled

I'm in purgatory

This time the track had a harsher mix, harsher vocals, and an utterly bonkers amount of Dimmu Borgir-style keys and synths. T&E was never utilized as a live track until 2023...

In mid-2023 MisophoniA saw ourselves back at full strength, our original drummer had returned to our misophonic family, and with the addition of new guitarist Jordan, it was now time to completely overhaul the track... Drums guitars, bass, and vocals.

Now in 2024, we have Trial & Error ver 2.0. This time with another mix overhaul and added keys...Courtesy of our full-time (after searching for what feels like a lifetime) keys player Sean McQueen

An Absolute blast beat of a track to perform live, and it is a track that has the power to be used as either a powerful captivating set opener or a set closing headbanger
