Behind The Tracks: The Wildfires Projekt - Rapture (Single) (2024)

Last year I released a song “Going Blind” based on the Fallout video game series. It was combined with a completely animated music video that brought viewers into the universe of the game itself. It was a ton of fun, and got such great feedback, I decided to take another go at fusing gaming and music with my new song Rapture (featuring Thriller Records’ Outline in Color). Rapture is based on the Bioshock series and how the promise of salvation rooted in human greed leads to destruction. What’s cool is as I was listening back to the song, I realized the lyrics resonate in many areas of life in the real world. So, a song initially meant to just reinterpret a story ended up becoming a song where we can reflect on the actual world around us. It’s pretty cool because now it opens the song to more audiences – if you like video games you’ll understand the story, but even if you don’t, you can resonate with the lyrics of the song in a completely different way.
