Interviews About Albums: Ibridoma - Norimberga 2.0 (2024)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Italian Heavy Metal band Ibridoma to ask questions about their album, "Norimberga 2.0".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

'Norimberga 2.0' was chosen as the album title because in our opinion it encompasses all the topics covered on the album in a fairly complete manner.
In the various songs we try to show our point of view on various events such as the trafficking of minors or the corruption of institutions.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

The album refers precisely to the Nuremberg trials which took place after the Second World War, and with the same spirit and the same consideration the album condemns the current world leaders for the current situation in which we find ourselves, obviously, we don't do all the there is a lot of grass and there will certainly be those who are committed to improving things, but the results are certainly not promising and too many people profit from this condition.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

The lyrics of the songs are all the work of our singer Christian Bartolacci, while the musical part is a fusion of various riffs composed by all of us, Christian included, normally the composition of our albums is a collective work where no one's ideas are almost never discarded, but they are revised to be more in line with the rest of the songs.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

“Ti ho visto andare via” is basically our experience of the lockdown told in music, it was a difficult period for everyone and we more or less lost something, be it work or personal affection, we have this song written both for personal vent and for the listener who can empathize with the state of mind we want to convey with our piece.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

As with our other albums, Norimberga 2.0 aims to be a snapshot of the period we are living in, above all from a very subjective and personal point of view, but also from a more social and less specific side, also accusing the aspects of society that in our opinion we consider wrong and trying to hypothesize a global community more devoted to humanity and the sense of what is right for everyone rather than what is best for the wealthiest individual.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

Sure from our new Song “Coming Home “ :

“The doctors fought against the death for me,
An ambulance took me home.
So, I weep for joy
People are waiting for me outside my house.
I’m alive ,all the nightmares disappeared.
I won the battle ,It’s time to coming home.”
here we talk about the people who returned home after fighting Covid 19 in hospital.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

As regards the themes of the album, our first inspiration comes mainly from our personal affections and the situations we have to face every day, while for the musical composition, it comes a lot from our state of mind.

8. Something to add?

A heartfelt thank you to all those who followed this interview and obviously to you too for the space given to us. We send you our greetings as we look forward to seeing you again at some concerts, both as artists and as an audience. Stay Metal
