Interviews: Santuario

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Santuario from the Dominican Republic. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The name comes from a place where we met every afternoon to listen to music and in one of those meetings we decided to form a band.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

This was the genre that we listened to in our adolescence and why we decided to form the band. 3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? Yes, we lived in the same neighborhood.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Jehison: Slayer

Kanky: Death

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Social inequality and corruption.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was at the most important rock festival in the Dominican Republic “Destrucción Masiva”.

7. Where would you like to act?

Where there is a scenario.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Max Cavalera.

9. Whom not?

Kanye West

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

There is always some anxiety before going on stage, but the best advice for new bands is to be prepared, rehearse, and always practice.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Pantera, Soulfly, Machine Head, Korn, Slipknot.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

She wasn't a fan, but she was the mother of one, after a concert she went on stage and asked everyone in attendance to go to church.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are the best in the world. They have always supported us and we are very grateful for that.
