1. God Forbid:

God Forbid, at first glance, appears to be a fairly typical old-school thrash attack on organized religion. However, in the context of DIGITAL DEMENTIA, it is an indictment on the use of social media to recruit the ‘flock’ to follow and obey the current narrative. The ‘Holy Book’ is on Facebook and other social media platforms. ‘The Father’ is the current thing that you should be in support of, for fear of ostracization from your social circle. In this context, Social Media and Influencers, are the new God.

2. Shallow hole:

Shallow Hole continues the theme of DIGITAL DEMENTIA with its condemnation of social media for its continued use as a platform for idolatry, ideological brainwashing, and fame-hungry narcissism.

3. Blunt Force Drama:

Blunt Force Drama is what the boys in the band say they came up with for a “slayer meets beastie boys’ track, it’s a step back from the ferocity of the rest of the record, B.F.D is a more whimsical, tongue-in-cheek song that at its core, is just a piss take out of the whole idea of outrage culture.

4. Digital Dementia:

The title track of the EP, Digital Dementia is the war cry, the all-out thrash assault on the culture we have created through our obsession with mobile devices. The term ‘Digital Dementia,’ also known informally as ‘Tik Tok Brain,’ is a real term used to describe the lapse in short-term memory and cognitive functions caused by excessive and unmonitored use of digital technology in adolescents. Endless scrolling and absorbing of mindless content without any other form of regular stimulus could contribute to the halting of brain cell development, potentially leading to signs of early onset dementia in middle age. Upon discovering this, there was no other title for this EP.
