Band Biographies: Dune Aurora
Dune Aurora is a fuzz/heavy rock band from Turin, Italy. The band was started in 2020 by Ginny Wagon and Claudia Schiavone, respectively lead singer/guitarist and bassist of Gypsy Wagon – a band from Turin active since 2010 – with Serena Bodratto, drummer of Dirty Wings from Alessandria. After a first period spent composing, Antonella Coccia (lead guitarist, Maidens & the Beast) completed the line-up at the end of 2021. Since October 2023 the line-up is reduced to three members and Roberta Finiguerra joins the band on bass. The band released their first EP – Lonely Town - in the summer of 2022. Recorded by Daniele Boris Gastaldi (Passover) at Saffey Road Studio in Novi Ligure, the EP is an ensemble of four tracks, in which the band experiments with their sound. It was released with a Kabuto Art Lab’s artwork by Massimo “Kabuto” Repetto, Genova. A video was made by Rocco D’Anzi with the song Lonely Town at Docks Dora in Torino. In summer 2023 the band recorded three more songs at Magma Studio in Turin, Italy with Davide Donvito and the master by James Plotkin, Plotkinworks USA. These songs have been released as stand-alone singles, Solar Reward, Sail and Fire, each with a music video which came out from a collaboration with Matteo Melotto, director, fashion designer and performer. The band has been performing live in northern Italy, individually or sharing the stage with other bands of the stoner rock scene. Currently, they are working on their first album and playing live.
