Behind The Artworks: Clactonian - Dea Madre (2024)

 

Regarding the cover art, it was realized by Maurizio Mollo, an artist who doesn't come from the metal scene but is currently studying in the comics field. The main reference for this cover was the well-known "Venus of Willendorf" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_of_Willendorf ), influenced by certain scenes taken from "Las brujas de Zugarramundi" (Spanish movie from 2015) and from Warhammer's Nurgle; this was to give the Venus a more monstruous and horrific aspect.
