Behind The Tracks: Stygian Mask - Under The Spell (Single) (2024)

"Under the spell" is an instrumental track but like all the songs I write, there's a meaning behind it, lyrics or not.

This time around I wanted to express the feeling of being consumed by someone else's power, being under the charm of someone who's not good for you, the feeling of not quite being able to be with someone but also not being able to live without them.

As a musical landscape, I tried to create a theme that gives vibes to the witch hunts that happened between the years 1400 to 1775. This idea is also translated into the cover of the single with the crescent moon often associated with witches.
