In this new interview, we sat down with the Swedish Metal band Bödel to ask questions about their album, "Välkommen Till Avrättningen".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

Well, it’s our first time together in the studio. The process went smoothly, and everyone nailed their part. It’s pretty much one-takes. We are really proud of the outcome of this EP and the sound and energy are just what we were looking for and trying to accomplish.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

It means welcome to the execution. The band's name BÖDEL means executioner! 

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

In this ep, it’s Arvid and Henrik who did the outlines on the songs. But in the rehearsal, we put it all together as we think a band should!

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

It’s hard, but maybe Håll ut, Håll i. (Arvid) and the drummer wrote it after a couple of beers and a bottle of rum the night after the first day in the studio. So the day after Masken (the drummer) was in the studio the first thing he did. It’s a fun story, and the song is a banger we all think.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

No. We just want to put focus on the things we see and that we think are shit in today’s society. 

6. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

We try to write songs that are more kind of basic like back in the day. But in our way.
