Interviews: Gelatin Skelatin

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Glam Metal band Gelatin Skelatin from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?

Believe it or not, my son came up with it when he was a toddler, he was just rhyming and I thought it sounded cool like a Quiet Riot type of name.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's been my favorite ever since I was a teenager, I like my rock to be larger than life.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I knew Slam for a few years and met Billy a few times but no, not really.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Billy likes Maiden, Seb likes Motorhead, Joel likes Black Midi, and Slam is undecided. I like Kiss and Warrant, but I am really into Winger these days.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Girls, horror movies, puns. All sorts of things really.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played in London Ontario at a horror movie convention called Shock Stock, it was a blast.

7. Where would you like to act?

We will play anywhere that will have us. Would love to tour other countries. We might go back to the UK soon.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We are opening for Trixter in the spring. Other bands like that would be cool.

9. Whom not?

It would be a good time for anyone who wants to share a stage with us.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

No never.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I guess KISS, and Alice Cooper, are the classic bands who want to entertain an audience.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Someone asked me to sign their arm so they could tattoo it. I have no evidence that they ever went through with it.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I love them. I hope we have more of them soon.

14. What do you think of our site?

Looks really cool. Thanks for supporting independent bands.

15. Something to add?

Pre-order our CD “Big Trouble” from wherever you order your CDs online. Thanks!
