Interviews: Maheshvara

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Atmospheric Metal/Dark Metal solo project Maheshvara from Canada. Check out the interview and this amazing solo project.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

From Sanskrit The "ā" of mahā and the "ī" of īśvara combine to form a sandhi, which becomes "e", forming the word "Maheśvara". Mahā means "Great" and Īśvara means "lord", hence the name Maheśvara means "the great lord". Maheshvara is one of the names of Lord Shiva, who united with the creator Brahma and the guardian Vishnu into the highest triad – «Trimurti» as the destructive principle of the universe. Shiva is one of the primal controllers of the material world. He is known as the greatest Vaishnava— devotee of Vishnu.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I write music for myself, in accordance with my taste preferences, inspired by many musical genres, composers, and bands.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

There is no band, I am only one person, and I work alone.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Same answer, there is no band.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I'm inspired by art in general, not just music. Painting, literature, cinematography, and others. Alternative science, a study of Vedic Scriptures is a part of me.

6. Where was your last gig?

I had no gigs.

7. Where would you like to act?

I did not think about that.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

9. Whom not?

Many others

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I don't have that experience.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Many bands, and many albums from different music genres and styles.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I don't have that experience.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I am very grateful to them, and I hope that they will find themselves and their purpose.
