Interviews: She Was The Carnation And The Rose
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Gothic Metal band She Was The Carnation And The Rose from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
Seebold: Want of a tenebrous, allusive, phrase. Fatigue with the plethora of one-word band names.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Sárog: This is a genre where I could express myself using the full range of my voice and it sounds great.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Seebold: Noémi and I knew each other from theatre, we had worked on several stage plays before music.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Sárog: My favorite band is THUNDERPETZ.
Eagen: King’s X.
Seebold: Recently listened to all the Opeth albums in order, so I’ll say them for the moment.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Seebold: The more one speculates on inspiration, the less intensely and less frequently it arises. You find ways to keep alert for the novel and necessary idea.
6. Where would you like to play?
Sárog: Coachella, Volt Festival in Sopron, Hungary, Misztrál Festival in Nagymaros, Hungary, Rogers Place in Edmonton Canada, and Cavendish Beach Music Festival on P.E.I. in Canada.
7. Whom would you like to feature with?
Sárog: I’d like to feature with Anastasia Elliot, Loïc Nottet, and Stromae.
8. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Sárog: Concentrating on the music instead of thinking about who sees me or hears me helps me get over any anxiety that may occur before a performance.
9. What bands have inspired you the most?
Seebold: It might be an album, it might be a place, a sculpture from antiquity, a coincidence, a dream, some combination of these things.
10. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you?
Sárog: “Is that really your voice on the song?”
Seebold: Nothing particularly outlandish.
11. What do you think of your fans?
Sárog: They are badass and supportive.
12. What do you think of our site?
Sárog: It’s cool.
13. Something you'd like to add?
Sárog: Thank you so much for featuring us.
