Interviews: Starspawn Of Cthulhu

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Lovecraftian Doom Metal solo project Starspawn Of Cthulhu from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the project on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

We chose this name in order to be clear on what the band was about and it came up easily

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Doom is a genre where I can experiment with things and put all my creativity because it offers a lot of space to do that.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Now this is a one-man band but when it was a duo, yeah we were already friends.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Talking about Doom I like Pallbearer, Candlemass, and Type O Negative but I listen to a lot of stuff.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

I feel the urgency to write, I'm a creative person so I'm inspired myself but Lovecraft helps of course ahah.

6. Where was your last gig?

This project never played live, the first one will be on July 27th for the release party of this album.

7. Where would you like to act?

It would be cool to play at some great festival one day.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We featured with Chris Babalis from Acid Mammoth years ago and it was cool, there are a lot of cool artists out there.

9. Whom not?

I don't know, Taylor Swift? ahah

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I have played live many times with other bands but with the experience stage fright just more or less vanishes, at least for me.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Surely my favorite ones I mentioned before but I take inspiration from a lot of music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing too weird until now.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are a die-hard fanbase, I'm always in touch with them and they are one of the biggest achievements.

14. What do you think of our site?

Really cool! keep spreading the word of Metal!
