Behind The Artworks: Precursor - Thick & Thin (2024)

For the record Thick & Thin we wanted to lean into some of the graphic nature of 90s emo albums but also connect to the lyrical themes of the record. Many of these are about reaching your breaking point and pushing through the trials and tribulations of life in the modern world. The idea of a frayed rope worked perfectly for us as a metaphor for being at the end of your rope and about to snap. This is how the music/record feels to us. It has a sense of chaos and urgency, like things could fall apart at any moment. I think all great punk records have that feeling.
