Behind The Artworks: Siroll! - Al Gra! (2024)
The ants; Fed up with working for nothing while seeing the passivity of the grasshopper
(which takes advantage of them without a care in the world), they decide to rebel and take
action. They organize themselves to demonstrate violently by attacking the grasshopper to
slowly annihilate it, dismembering it so that it dies in terrible suffering.
The crudeness of this action is meant to symbolize the social change in the power structure,
where the lower and working classes are empowered to fight against the upper classes and
political spheres. The ants keep the grain they have collected, and because they know that
the grasshopper will rob them without giving anything in return. So that this does not happen
again, they decide to eliminate the problem at its root, or at least this is the metaphorical
utopia we propose on the cover.
As for the technical aspects, a different color palette from the usual Siroll! has been used.
Changing the earthy and red colors for lilacs and pinks, thus making it a cooler and more
contrasted cover. In a way it also differentiates the album in relation to the rest of the
discography. The different elements are on different planes to give depth to the composition,
emphasizing the faces of the ant as the winner of the battle and the cicada as the defeated
one.
