The song Hold On took many years and went through numerous iterations and recordings before we were happy with it. It was like a 5-year pregnancy. We knew there was something there, but had to give it time, and needed to forget many things we thought the song was in order to allow it to speak for itself.

The original version included an arpeggiated synth and drum machine, which evolved through time into a more organically aggressive live approach.

The song addresses how humanity is willfully ignoring the inevitable consequences resulting from the unbalanced relationship with the world we inhabit. A vain attempt to hold on to the old ways as things fall apart around us.
