Interviews: Ashes To Omens

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock band Ashes To Omens from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The band name just kind of happened. We really liked how it looked and sounded. We felt like it conveyed the emotion we were trying to get across

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We play music that we like listening to! We feel like this style of modern rock/alt-metal is something that we relate to the most.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

The original bassist and drummer did. But otherwise, we were all complete strangers

4. Each band member's favorite band?

James - Breaking Benjamin

Chris - Disturbed

Nathan - Ghost

Casey - Hands like Houses

Trip - Blink 182

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We only write music that is inspired by the things that are happening around us. Of course we always inspire one another in different ways, but all of the music that we write really comes from our own personal experiences

6. Where was your last gig?

The fabulous 40Watt in Athens, GA. It was almost sold out!

7. Where would you like to act?

We've always wanted to play the whiskey in Ca. or maybe Verizons Amphitheater in Atlanta 8. Whom would you like to feature with? We've always said we wanted to do songs with bands in our genre, so we'd love to do something with Breaking Benjamin, or Nothing more

9. Whom not?

We're open to anyone who wants to do something creative!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We're always just a little bit nervous before we go on, but for the most part, once we step on stage it goes away. Just be confident and strong, and take deep breaths!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

That's a pretty huge question. We're all inspired by the leading bands of the past, but also by all the incredible new musicians and bands that are breaking out at the moment

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I don't think we've ever gotten any weird requests, most of our fans ask for the normal things. Polaroids, autographs, that kind of thing.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Without them, we'd be home in our rooms. We love everyone who has supported us this far and can't wait to see what's next!
