Interviews: Senses

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Senses from Greece. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The idea for the name "Senses" came from our desire to create music that touches all the senses. We wanted a name that reflects the intensity and emotional power of our music. "Senses" perfectly expresses the feeling and experience we want to offer to our listeners.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Glam metal and electro-synth, with strong influences from the '80s, are genres that truly resonate with and inspire us. We grew up listening to music from that era and have always felt a deep connection to that sound. Through our music, we aim to bring this genre into the modern spotlight, adding our own fresh approach. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Some of the members already knew each other before the band was formed, but the idea for Senses was born when Dim Argio decided to bring us together to create something unique. The chemistry and our shared love for music quickly united us as a band.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Dim Argio has a deep love for Scorpions, Andy White is a big fan of Iron Maiden, while John Agkor and John Fill have a particular fondness for Metallica and Judas Priest.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our inspiration comes from personal experiences, our relationships, and the challenges of life. Additionally, the music we love from the '80s motivates us to create songs that blend emotion and power.

6. Where was your last gig?

Since we are a newly formed band, we haven't performed live yet, but we are preparing for our first concerts to promote our new album.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would love to perform at major concerts with well-known names and festivals around the world. It would also be an honor for us to play at festivals in Greece, such as the Release Festival.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be an incredible experience to collaborate with artists like David Coverdale from Whitesnake.

9. Whom not?

There isn't any specific artist we wouldn't want to collaborate with. We are open to any collaboration that could inspire us and add something unique to our music. 

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Stage fright is something everyone may experience, especially in the beginning. The best advice is to prepare well, remember why you love music, and focus on enjoying the moment. With experience, the anxiety fades and makes way for the enjoyment of the performance.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The bands that have inspired us the most are Metallica, Scorpions, Mötley Crüe, and Judas Priest. These artists have shaped our sound and approach to music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't encountered anything too unusual yet, as we are a new band, but we are excited to see what surprises our fans have in store for us in the future!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the heart of the band. Without their support, we wouldn't be able to keep going. We see them as part of our family, and their love motivates us to keep pushing forward.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your website is an excellent platform for promoting new and up-and-coming bands. We greatly appreciate the work you do to bring our music closer to the audience.
