Track By Tracks: Buryfication - Gallows Rise (2024)
1. The Plague:
The real death-thrash opening track presents the theme of the album. Groovy headbanging riffs, thrash metal solos, and blistering drum beats.
This song drills into the core of religion which presents the so-called goodness and closes its eyes from the very destructive force of its own goodness.
2. Supreme Being:
This one was made at the same time as The Plague, like two sides of a coin. A little bit more straightforward than the opening track, dives into the mind of a serial killer
3. Human Cattle:
This one is the relatively slower track of the album. Groovy death metal riffing with the hints of lemon.
A small guided tour through a meat-processing facility in a dystopian future
4. Let Them Suffer:
Let Them Suffer is sole brutality from start to finish. Marko (vocals)wrote lyrics that would fit the brutal overall feeling of the song. This one is quite a vocal-driven piece with a powerful chorus.
'Let Them Suffer' is a song of power for all individuals who have been pushed too far and who would love to start a killing spree when the line is crossed too many times. The payback can be brutal.
5. Year Zero:
Bit of an aggressive one. We wanted to make a powerful chorus for this one that would sound as big as possible. About the end of the world, how everything begins anew without humans.
6. Gallows Rise:
The intense and edgy title song of the album. Starts with an ominous opening riff and then builds up to groovy death-thrash blastfest. Thematically and lyrically summarizes what the album artwork is all about, ignorance, false beliefs, brutalism, violence, and so on. What would be a more appropriate metaphor for the themes that there are on the album than witch hunts?
7. Trails of Blood:
Re-recorded version of the old song that as a joke we wanted to make even faster and tighter to see if it worked. It did. It's a really straightforward hammering that we play almost every gig.
8. Haunted, Enslaved, Devoured:
Aggressive death metal song with some atmospheric elements in it. We gave a little extended ending for the song to give the album the grand finale. This track tells a tale about being haunted and enslaved by demons, a story about how you give in to your sexual desires and dive deeper and deeper into madness and losing all control of yourself.
