Track By Tracks: Gloria Perpetua - The Darkside We Wanna Hide (2024)

The album as a whole:

A journey through self-responsibility to fight for a better world, and make a difference. The soundtrack will be the finest heavy/power metal with elements from top-notch artists like Tolkki, Mariutti, Vitor Veiga, Raphael Dantas, and many others.

Track by track:

1. Let there be darkness:

Instrumental influenced by Iced Earth.

2. Beyond the darkness portal:

Strong and deep, talks about blame and it brings some “dark” Helloween

3. Have you Forsaken the Cross?:

A question to the church and religion in general that put dogma over love. A mix between Iced Earth and Tony Martin

4. Mothers of Jerusalem:

In the end, the mothers pay the price of the war, heroes are buried and their mothers will miss them forever and be the only ones to really sacrifice something. Accept comes to mind, Primal Fear as well.

5. The Angels are Calling:

Ancient Alien contacts tried to help mankind but realized it was not the time. Avantasia single stile, great Chorus, I have to highlight that.

6. The rape of Gaia:

It shows how we have treated our planet and how COVID was a fight back. Very melodic, Stratovarius style.

7. The Architect:

It shows how everything was made perfectly and connected in the universe, if this is God or something else the song keeps open, but something so well-designed starts from chaos to perfection. Timo Tollki is here and you can recognize him. Power metal Helloween style.

8. The Key of Life:

Rumble and Simple, talks about how true love changes a person. Power metal Helloween style

9. The way of a Warrior:

Fast with ups and downs, gives room for instrumental work in the middle. The best bassline in the album.

10. The sick cycle to the death:

A Thrash Metal like cutting you as a razor blade, Torture Squad is my influence here, The Unholy Spell/Pandemonium years.
