Track By Tracks: Sbarco - Sbarco (2024)
The final song of the album (The Boat pt.1 e pt.2) was the first one we composed; after a couple of rehearsals, we decided to split the song to give even more importance to the ending. Also, the concept of the album develops in reverse; the end is the beginning. We've opted for this structure for listening reasons; the atmosphere at the end is pretty gloomy and dark while in the first half of the album, the compositions are more airy and less heavy, and also a little more catchy. The songs are all born from the multi-instrumental ideas of Nebu; then obviously followed a work of customization and review by the whole band. In the composition lyrics come last; we preferred to adapt the metric of words to music rather than the opposite. For us, The Landing is the perfect start: a melodious riff supported by a solid rhythmic base with a lively ending. The Future and The Dawn continue along this line but with more articulated dynamics. With The Companion the atmosphere begins to change: the song begins with a heavier riff and a slower rhythm that prefigure fast-paced, articulate changes. The Dream is the watershed of the album; a dark ambient song that develops around a hypnotic guitar loop. The Siren is a sort of nervous ballad with a continuous crescendo in which no part is repeated. The Heart starts with a linear development between guitar and drums which leads to a more chaotic but catchy refrain. The Boat is continuous ups and downs with a continuous change of moods and dynamics until the frenetic ending. But as we have said the end is just the beginning.
