Behind The Artworks: Corpsefucking Art - Tomatized (2024)
Andrea Cipolla: The cover artwork of Corpsefucking Art's sixth album is another piece that
continues the saga of our historic character, always present and visible on
our covers, Mr. Daisy. The artist this time is Pierre de Palmas, a great
talent of the goregrind scene, who goes to describe a dream of our
character, usually drawn by Chris Moyen, but in this case, we wanted to
have a trait to differentiate reality from the dream life of Mr. Daisy. From
now on there will be covers by the two artists, for now separately, then it
could happen that the two artists will collaborate on some weird idea in
the future. The basic idea is a nightmare, where the world is dominated
by sentient tomatoes, a spore arrived from space has transformed the
vegetables into monstrous creatures that are transforming the human
race into tomatoes (in the intro of the album you can clearly hear the
transformation of a man into a vegetable), using the mass ap for their
own survival. The idea was completely embraced by the artist, who
managed to transform our ideas perfectly on paper. The cover artwork
reflects the content of our sixth full length, a concept around this unusual
theme for the genre, where in each song there is a quote from a film,
which is adapted to create something completely new and original.
