Behind The Artworks: Forsaken Rite - The Forgotten West (2024)

The artwork was created by photographer and digital artist Renee Robyn. We wanted an image that represented the spirit of the journey towards a new life in the Forgotten West. This piece spoke to us from the moment we saw it. For some reason, as a band, we always associated the journey to the Forgotten West with Fall colours, and desolate mountainous landscapes. The image’s color palette was on point. Actually, all the elements of the image are on point. We have a hooded figure running towards a structure. Are they hurrying to warn the residents of an imminent attack? Are they the enemy scouting their target? Are they a mysterious being whose motives are unknown to the Warparty? All these questions are connected one way or another to the album’s concept as a whole. It is almost as if it was fated to be.
