Many of our songs are layered in both the meaning and intention behind them. Bellum is no different. It is about our struggle to fight our inner most battles, whether emotional, physical, or mental. It's about standing up for our faith in a world that so often seems like a battlefield. It's about Jesus conquering the grave, and defeating the wiles of the evil one. It is very much a call to arms, against ourselves, against temptation, and against a fallen world. The word "Bellum" comes from the Latin word for war/warfare.
