Interviews: Tellers Scribe

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Metal band Tellers Scribe from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or did it just come out like that?

It wasn't planned as such, we wanted something that gave an idea of what we are about. We are Tellers and Writers (Scribes) of stories

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Metal encompasses the feeling of the stories we are trying to tell, we're all metalheads so that helps

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Kim, Mike, and Dan are in another band together and have known each other for years. Dave and Yus used to play together previously as well and have known each other since they were kids.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

No favorites here there are way too many influences for us to pick one. We love a variety of music despite predominantly being into metal we do all dabble with many other genres.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It can be anything, if we think it would make a good story, we come together and inspire each other.

6. Where was your last gig?

The 66 bar in Cambridge with Nomadic Reign and Skarlet Envy

7. Where would you like to play?

The big ones would be Download and Bloodstock but maybe somewhere with a bit of the theatrical could be fun ... maybe a Cathedral or Royal Albert Hall.

8. Who would you like to support?

Ice Nine Kills, Rammstein, Metallica, Trivium, In This Moment......anyone really, we're a friendly bunch and can easily jump in anywhere

9. Who not?

Unless they're a particularly unpleasant person we're happy to support any and all artists.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Some of us still get nervous before a show..... every single show, but once you're on stage and you're in the moment that fear melts away, adrenaline kicks in

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The inspiration is forever changing, we listen to all sorts all of the time. But some influences are Pantera (Dimebag Era), Alterbridge, Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Limp Bizkit, Children of Bodom, Metallica, Korn, Sepultura, Fintroll, Queen, Meat Loaf, In This Moment, Ice Nine Kills

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Honestly, we're probably the weirdest people you are likely to meet so our interpretation of weird is different to everybody else. Some things just don't phase you after a while.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Loveliest bunch of metalheads and rockers you could ever meet.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's colorful, well laid out, and easy to navigate
