Interviews: Viajero

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Indie Rock band Viajero from Colombia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?

Life itself is a journey, the inner journey, the journey with and without movement, the music that is in each discovery.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

There are enough bands doing much of the same, we love experimentation and honest proposals that propose something different and honest

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Depeche Mode, tears for fears, the cure, u2, Gustavo Cerati, Zoe…

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Reading everyday life and inner reflections, art, science, metaphysics, literature

6. Where was your last gig?

Medellín Altavoz International Festival.

7. Where would you like to act?

Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Latin America

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Altered states, feral, Zoe, Sidhartha.

9. Whom not?

Commercial pop bands

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

There is always anxiety and stage fright before the show, my recommendation is to “transmute” the feeling and put it in your favor like adrenaline, and that the fear never goes away, it is fuel.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Depeche Mode, tears for fears, the cure, U2, Duran Duran, gustavo Cerati, soda stereo, Zoe, Fito Páez, Luis Alberto espineta, charly garcia, robi Draco Rosa, Caifanes…

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Sex

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are partly the reason for being, they are the ones who consume the music we make.
