Album Descriptions: Then We Died - Broken Skull Opera (2024)

There's really not much to say about each individual track. As a whole I think we only wanted to play some old school metal and we wanted it to sound authentic. The artwork is a different story. We never had an actual band practice so we had no idea whatsoever how Stevo was going to approach the vocals before he started recording in the studio. I didn't know if the topic would be horror, serial killers, gore or what so I needed to make the art compatible with whatever direction the songs took. I wanted elements from all of those things without relying on the cheesy tropes typically associated with this style of music. I love those things, but I didn't want to go that route with this project.
