Band Biographies: Lan/cet

LAN/CET band was formed in late 2008. It emerged during a joint jam session of two friends from the backyard, Marcin "Jeż" Jerzyna and Michał "Hippis" Markowski. Rehearsals took place at the home of Jeż's grandmother, Regina Gogłuska, in Koczergy - near the town of Parczew [PL].

 

In 2011, the band was joined by a friendly drummer, Robert "Roberto Mori" Protasewicz from Siedlce. A year later, Witold Popiel, an extraordinary painter who plays the trumpet, endowed the musical world of Lan/cet with peculiar sounds. After some time, an interesting, intriguing, and original style emerged, which is still gaining momentum and charisma.

 

In their work, the band uses, in addition to natural instruments, sounds from nature and peculiar, unusual situations from everyday life.
