Behind The Artworks: Dismalimerence - Tome: II (2024)

The album artwork was created by our friend Aghy Purakusuma, who also did our previous record Tome: I.

The concept of this is of course the continuation but also the finale. As opposed to Tome: I, the book is closed, the final pages are written, and our character is dissipating into the moonlit forest. I often romanticize nature for every reason imaginable. The candles, photo frames, cloth, and pages around the book are meant to be like a seance and have some spiritual significance for the character. This is the place the character finishes the story. They wrote every word in ink, surrounded by candles, near the creek, and in the cleansing moonlight. The character is connected to the story of their life like we are all connected to the stories we create while we’re alive.
