Behind The Artworks: Ignitor - Horns And Hammers (2024)

Claudio Bergamin has done quite a few projects for me over the past few years( Cassius King, Dangerous Toys ) and I felt it was time I had him do something for Ignitor. His fantasy/ other alien, bigfoot obsession I love and have a lot of his prints. I could talk about his art forever. I have lyrics that talk of a DARK HORSE, and a warrior, who is really messed up. The general could be his father through incest. He hates his job as a devil soldier for the company he works for and with. He seeks revenge, he seeks blood. He needs therapy! Either way, he is in trouble, but he is the best soldier the general and his captains have. He is a loner as much as he is killing for a job, and that means for the company he hates.

Claudio and I spent hours on the phone, me describing this scarred killer and his problems. He had to look this way, in his eyes, in his face. He will always taste blood and have stained hands.

I feel that after a few tries, Claudio found the right way to portray the character. This man, this beast, is trying to figure out how he got to this bad place in his head, and in his mortal being.
