Interviews About Albums: ANDREA PALMIERI - Reflections (2024)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Italian Hard Rock band ANDREA PALMIERI to ask questions about their album, "Reflections".

1. What can you say about Reflections?

Reflections are born from the will to continue what was done well with Solitude, we could see it as a natural evolution of Solitude. This time we tried to give fewer musical references and to spread more between the various genres that we love.

2. What is the meaning of the album name?

We chose Reflections because the lyrics are self-expressive and introspective, primarily focused on the concept of 'the flow of time'.

3. Which one is the composer of the Reflections?

The music was composed entirely by me and Alessandro Cersa, while the lyrics were on my own.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

I think Loneliness is the best piece for Reflections. That's why we chose it to make a music video. From a musical point of view, we can find here both a softer melodic part with an acoustic guitar and a powerful riff in the chorus, all enhanced by the voice of Massimo Gerini. Loneliness is about the remorse and unease you feel when you can't forgive someone who has hurt you in the past. It is a warning not to think about the past, but to move forward.

5. Is there a special message in this album? If there is, what is it?

The message I would like to send with Reflections is that we should not always think about things that have happened. Because if we are focused on the past, we cannot enjoy the present and even less think about the future. We should focus more on ourselves, on what makes us truly happy, and trying to achieve our dreams without worrying about people's judgment. Quote from the album "life is only one."

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

Actually, I love all the lyrics of this album, from the most personal lyrics to the lighter lyrics.

7. Which inspirations have been important for Reflections? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

If we talk about musical inspiration, surely the whole hard rock scene of the '70s and '80s was very important. As for the lyrics, I am inspired by the moment of my life that I'm going through, and everything around me. A special thanks goes to the people who have always supported me and believe in me and my music.

8. Something to add?

Thank you so much for this interview. It is a great pleasure and an honor for me, I hope you all enjoy Reflections.
