In this new interview, we sat down with the French Djent project Past And Secrets to ask questions about his album, "Another Day, Another Time".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

Another day, another time is the worthy successor to my first album, « Memories » (October 2020).

This album will take you on a journey through different emotions, because I wanted to convey them to you.

Everyone is free to form their own opinion. It was very important for me to make this second album because it was a challenge to do better than the first. Each track will allow the listener to travel and create their own emotions.

I talk as much about seeing the world through the eyes of a child as I do about different memories or past moments.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

«Another Day, Another Time» is just a little wink to indicate that this album is a second attempt, a new adventure after the first one.

It’s like a second Chapter. I've tried to write things differently but still with the same emotions.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

Past and Secrets is a one-man project. That means I write all the parts and all the tracks. I just ask international solo artists to add solo sections on each of them. So I write all the instrumental parts, including drums, bass, guitar, and samples.

4. If you have to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Without hesitation The song ‘World’ (feat.Brian Bajak).

It's a vision of the world through the eyes of a child and unfortunately the good and the bad that human beings have created on our planet.

I wanted to make a quite shocking clip to really show what we were doing with our beautiful world.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

As my first album, I wanted to capture as many of the emotions I feel on a daily basis as possible. In this one, I talk about the way we see the world, about past memories, about thoughts we might have of loved ones who have passed away. In short, all the emotions that human beings can feel.

6. Are there some lyrics that you ́d love to share?

As it's an instrumental project, I'd like to say that each person writes the lyrics the way they feel.

It could very well be that on the track ‘come on board’, one person sees things completely differently and can write a text that is close to their heart.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Each song on the album has a different theme. The first song, « Above Us » (Feat. Greg Schollaert) is about the people we've lost and often think about with fond memories.

On « Come On Board »(feat. Radek Stojda », it's the start of an adventure, a journey. « World » (Feat. Brian Bajak) is about seeing the world through the eyes of a child. « Sleep Well Little Child » (Feat. Mika Dienst), it's the image of protection, A hand placed on a child before he falls asleep.

And on « Together on the Mountain » (Feat. Demetrio Scopelitti), a memory that is dear to me and which takes place in a mountain range.

Each song is written to transcribe an emotion and allow fans to escape. That's the aim of the project.

8. Something to add?

To conclude, I invite each listener to form their own opinion and create their own emotions or feelings through this album.

I've tried to give my best from the first to the last second and I hope you'll understand and be transported by this second opus.
