Track By Tracks: Dethlores Of Gehenna - Scales Of Leviathan (2024)

1. Scales of Leviathan:

In the vast crowd, the spirits of the dead torment, manipulate and lure us. These malevolent forces, together, form the Leviathan—a monstrous entity with impenetrable scales. Each of us is but a fragment of this beast, part of the relentless killing machine.

2. Sting of the Serpent:

This song speaks of the wicked tongue, a voice that whispers from within. Outwardly, we may seem in harmony, but inside, our true selves are dark and decayed. Like serpents and scorpions, we lash out, striking with venom—unaware that by hating others, we are really lashing out at ourselves, because we are all connected. Each time we fire our poisonous darts, we wound not just those around us, but also the deeper parts of our own soul.

3. Image of the Sea Beast:

The theme of this song is hypocrisy. As beasts, we believe we stand above others, just as the earth rises above the sea. The beast of the earth, in its arrogance, sees itself as greater, superior to the sea. Yet, we are consumed by thoughts of the sea beast, corrupt within, even as we maintain a facade of purity. In truth, Behemoth, the beast of the earth, is no greater than Leviathan, the beast of the sea—they are one and the same.

4. Behemoth:

Believing himself holier than others, he publicly battles the sea beast, yet secretly loves it and knows he can never pierce Leviathan’s impenetrable scales. Still, he claims dominion over souls, leading others into a world of deceit and hypocritical facades.

5. Death:

The bottomless pit is the grave, the tomb where we all dwell as the living dead. This planet, a hellish graveyard, is filled with those starved of truth and devoid of love, continually born into this cesspool through the womb—the gateway to hell. The death machine is endlessly fed, yet its hunger is never sated.
