1. Into The Night:
Into The Night is the first song and the single off Shadows. It is the kickstarter for the album setting off the tone with a bang. Into The Night is about venturing off the path into the unknown, and going too far, finding yourself in a dark place, or "the night."
2. Shattered Pieces:
Shattered Pieces, the second song on the album, comes with relentless and fierce energy. Turn this one up and shatter your windows to pieces. This song was written about being broken, shattered into pieces -- and no matter how you try to collect yourself, you can never put the pieces back the same.
3. Demon World:
Number three off the album comes Demon World. If you're a fan of wicked guitar solos and heavy riffs, this one's for you. Demon World was written about living in an environment where the authorities in control are corrupt, and use their people to access their desires -- and the suffering that comes from that.
4. Asylum Of The Dead:
Asylum Of The Dead, the fourth track, has a more death metal vibe fused into it - appropriately so. With manic riffs and haunting lead guitars, this song is made for horror movie and metal lovers. Lyrically, Asylum Of The Dead pertains to the experience of going through mental health battles and being prescribed pills in a trial and error process, only to have nothing work, leading into a spiral of insanity.
5. Shadows:
Shadows, the self-titled track sits in the middle of the album at number five. This track is the epicenter of the album, where all the madness is stirred into one song. Starting with a creepy circus intro and doomy riffs, Shadows brings forth the feeling of tension and darkness. Shadows was written about the regrets, traumas, and negative experiences in life that follow you around day to day - living with something that haunts you.
6. Level Zero:
Level Zero picks the pace back up as the sixth song off Shadows. Coming in after the song Shadows, Level Zero is an eerie yet powerful song that will get your heart racing! Level Zero was written about being at rock bottom. With no one to understand or help, being lonely, and not knowing which way to go, Level Zero is a song that can resonate with people who have experienced rock bottom.
7. 33:
33, the seventh song on Shadows. 33 is packed with some of Mikey's unique, haunting melodies, solos, and riffs, with a brave and different song structure. 33 was written about living in a corrupt world, where the leaders work to divide and confuse us in order to gain control. Similar to Demon World, 33 sheds light on corruption and the suffering that comes with it.
8. Feeding The Ghost:
Rounding towards the end of the album, Feeding The Ghost comes in at #8. Coming in off the bat with heavy, pumping riffs, Feeding The Ghost is sure to satisfy both your taste for heavy riffs and melodic vocals. 9. Unholy One:
Number nine on Shadows is another heavy metal killer titled Unholy One. A combination of screaming lead guitars, crushing riffs, and Milan's melodic vocals, Unholy One is a unique blend of dark, aggressive, and powerful. Unholy One was written as a fantastical song about the world ending by the hands of an unholy demon. It mostly pertains to the feeling of helplessness and fear, living with anxiety and paranoia.
10. Transylvania:
Finishing off Shadows with a bang, we have our tenth and final track, Transylvania. A thrash metal inspired track, with fast paced and aggressive riffs, Transylvania is sure to get the blood pumping.
