Album Descriptions: Apex Fallen- Sum Of It All (2024)
The idea behind the album artwork is rather simple. We were looking for something that had to do with the classic duality of the mind. Yin and yang…good and evil…right and wrong. This album was planned to be the conclusion of a trilogy of the first two EPs (Never The Lesser and Greater Than Misery). So, after going through the pain, suffering, and struggles to finally reach the goal, so to speak, now ask yourself “Was it all worth it?” and “Is what I thought I wanted really what I needed?”. This is the duality of the black and white reapers on opposing sides of the tree of life in the center of it all growing from the abyss that we are all born from. The snake wrapped around the tree represents both the toxic people and situations we let into our lives that make us feel constrained from growing, but also the wall or guard that we put up to shield our vulnerabilities. So, it works on two levels. However, much like all works of art, this is what it means to us, but if someone else has a different interpretation that makes more sense to them then that’s perfectly okay too.
